School of Dentistry
We are one of the major UK centres for education and research in health and related subjects. This one-day meeting brings together microbiologists, consultants in infectious disease, infection control nurses and biomedical and clinical scientists to hear updates on recent “hot topics” in all aspects of infectious disease. This year we hope to cover topics that include Monkeypox, Lassa Fever, Myocarditis and many others. Whilst you must register three referees, the department may start the assessment of your application if two of the three references are submitted by the course deadline and your application is otherwise complete. Please note that you may still be required to ensure your third referee supplies a reference for consideration.

IHTM alumni have gone on to assume leadership roles in global health – in governments, non- governmental organisations and/or academic institutions. The allocation of graduate supervision for this course is the responsibility of the Nuffield Department of Medicine and it is not always possible to accommodate the preferences of incoming graduate students to work with a particular member of staff. Under exceptional circumstances a supervisor may be found outside the Nuffield Department of Medicine.
It will also provide a thorough grounding in functional anatomy and biomechanics, exercise physiology and psychology, as well as the fundamentals of exercise in maintaining and improving health. Students develop essential research skills through an independent research project. We are committed to tackling global challenges and improving the health, wealth and wellbeing of society.
