These music resources are currently being used by over 80 schools including a British International School and we launched our Drama series in February followed by Dance in April. The scholarships are open to all current Loughborough University students from the East Midlands and London campuses. Art forms may include any genre of music, creative writing, poetry, photography, film, animation, any genre of dance, performing arts, textiles, visual arts and crafts. The Ruskin School of Art offers life drawing courses during term time, available at a discounted rate to University members. As the home of Oxford University’s Fine Art Department, the school often holds exhibitions of current students’ work, in addition to hosting collaborative art events. GFMA work with artists from around the world, from a diverse range of cultures and creative disciplines, allowing us to offer a unique opportunity to experience the best of a wide variety art forms and traditions.
You can visit our 16-day Summer Festival and enjoy world class music and art in this beautiful and historic corner of England, which encompasses the ancient ports of Deal, Sandwich and Dover. You can participate in one or more of our education programmes, or you can work with us as a volunteer, becoming part of the Deal Music & Arts family. We’re home to a flourishing arts community and offer a wide range of classes, groups and musical ensembles.

While there’s an emphasis on soul, guests can enjoy a heady mix of R&B, dance, jazz, hip hop, blues and pop throughout the year. Headline performances are programmed alongside emerging artists, providing an opportunity to experience world-class talent in an intimate space. From The Beach Boys to Basement Jaxx, Jessie Ware, Jax Jones, Tom Misch and Trevor Nelson; enjoy an eclectic lineup, beautifully curated by The Arts Club’s inhouse music team. For instance, we are now offering a filming & editing service for our projects allowing schools to share the special experiences of their pupils with their communities despite the ongoing restrictions. In Harmony is a national programme, co-funded with the Department for Education , that inspires children through immersive musical experiences and aims to increase educational attainment and community aspiration. World of Art was introduced in 2010 with the aim of bringing the work of contemporary visual artists to the festival. Each year we have invited British and International artists to bring or create a wide range of work including film, sculpture, installations and performance.
We’re also only a stone’s throw away from London’s notorious West End where a variety of GSA productions are presented. We have been producing resources to assist teachers in Wales as they prepare for the forthcomingCurriculum for Wales. We have produced purchasable resource packs to deliver Eisteddfod and Cynefin through the primary school . Exeter College JCR is fortunate to possess a sizeable collection of artwork, which is lent out to students living in College each year to brighten their rooms. Experience world-class talent in an intimate setting, as The Arts Club plays host to the most iconic acts. We have a series of rooms available so you can continue to practise your instrument of choice, including silent band practice.
They encourage involvement in the arts outside of your studies and are not related to your degree. The Festival aims not only to provide entertainment for the people of Calne and surrounding villages, but also to promote local musical and artistic talent. The project has just launched a brand new set of Ten Pieces with resources for 7-14 year-olds including short introductory videos, full orchestral performances, instrumental and vocal arrangements, and 6-weeks’ of lesson plans. Each year the project invites schools to send in creative responses to the music to be featured on the BBC website. There are six In Harmony programmes currently running in Lambeth, Liverpool, Nottingham, Telford, Stoke-on-Trent, Leeds and Newcastle-upon-Tyne serving over 45 schools and 8,000 children most in need. Participating schools commit significant curriculum hours each week to ensemble music-making, through instrumental lessons, and music sessions. Since the programme’s inception in 2008 there has been strong evidence of the positive impact on the personal, social, educational and musical development of young people that have participated. Guildford and wider Surrey is home to a diverse range of venues hosting high quality drama, performing arts, live music and visual arts.
