We deliver many courses that facilitate opportunities for you to gain widespread practical experience, promote postgraduate research, and allow you to achieve your ambitions. Please note tuition fees are subject to an annual review and may increase from one year to the next. If your first language isn’t English, you’ll normally need to undertake an approved English language test and our minimum English language requirements will apply. Placement and Study Abroad opportunities are subject to UK and Scottish Government health and travel advice. They both allow you to gain confidence in teaching over four years, as well as studying your chosen subject specialism at the same time. On this course you have the opportunity to study a range of social science disciplines including sociology, history, geography, psychology and politics. The College of Social Sciences brings together over 450 academics and over 360 professional staff across a range of disciplines and interdisciplinary fields. In your first year you’ll study social policy, sociology and gain a firm grounding in research methods and sources of data.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept students onto our degrees on the basis of this qualification alone. T levels are not considered suitable preparation for this degree programme and are therefore not accepted for entry. Student Funding

Politics focuses on democracy and the relationship between people and policy, at all levels up from the individual to a national and international level. Linguistics focuses on language and how people communicate through spoken sounds and words. For ESRC this includes computational linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, language acquisition and interdisciplinary social science laalmeja.com research involving linguistics.
